Saturday, May 4th 2019, come out to help the little projects we always have at the range. Donuts & Coffee provided as well as lunch at noon. We could always use a few more members to balance the work load. It’s a great time to meet members from all different interests too.
Wednesday, January 30th, the Wyoming Antelope Club annual Board of Directors elections will be held at the club house. It is important to know that ballots are only in person, at the clubhouse. Voting starts at 5 PM onsite.
There are 5 positions and 6 candidates. The existing BOD members are running and one new candidate, Rick Clemens. Most know Rick from Archery. Rick has been very active and is a key member for the Archery program. He has brought new life to the Archery program and looks to grow the sport for the WAC.
Please come out to vote for the BOD members you believe will represent the club the best.
In January, we’re all headed back to Universal Shooting Academy for the annual Florida State Championship. This match is always a blast and brings together the locals from around the state. Friends and rivals get to compete for the state title in all the USPSA divisions. This will be a level II match and counts towards the Central Florida Section slot series. In fact, it counts double points for the series.
If you’re interested in the slot series, be sure to sign up on MatchSignUp.org. This year the series is better than ever providing paid slots to the USPSA Nationals. Some slots are paid and some are just a great way to get your early entry to the Nationals. Pick your division for the series and get serious!
December 29 will hold the last WAC USPSA match of the year. With only one division the competition will be tight. Bring the Limited guns out and get ready for some fast stages.
Get ready for the 2019 Central Florida Section slot series! The USPSA clubs of the Central Florida Section have agreed for many years to combine and distribute activity earned nationals slots using a competitive match series. The intent is to encourage shooters from the section to participate in other club’s matches and expand their experience on the way to the top.
Here’s how it works. Each club designates a match as a slot match. The shooters percentage win of that match will be used as points within class and division. There are 6 clubs in the section and the Florida State Championship counts as double. A shooter must participate in four different slot matches to qualify and they must sign up before the series begins.
Sign up is on www.matchsignup.org
